About Ohene

Ohene is a Personal Memory Intelligence iOS application developed and operated by Talka Technologies, a company registered in the State of Wyoming, USA (Sheridan, Wyoming). Ohene was created by a founder with roots in Accra, Ghana, and is built for a global audience. Ohene is designed to help you capture, understand, and connect your personal memories using artificial intelligence.

Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using Ohene, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Ohene. By using Ohene, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

Your content

Your memories belong to you. All content you create in Ohene — memories, notes, voice recordings, photos — remains your intellectual property.

By using Ohene Pro AI features, you grant Talka Technologies and our AI provider (Anthropic) a limited, temporary licence to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the AI intelligence features you have requested. This licence does not extend to storing, analysing for commercial purposes, or sharing your content.

You are responsible for the content you store in Ohene. You agree not to store content that:

• Violates any applicable law or regulation
• Infringes the rights of any third party
• Contains malware or harmful code
• Constitutes spam or is misleading

Subscriptions and payments

Ohene offers a free tier and a Pro subscription (Ohene Pro). Subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple's Terms of Service and payment processing.

Subscription terms:

• Free trial: Monthly and Annual plans offer a 7-day free trial for eligible users. You will not be charged during the trial period.
• Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Cancellation: Cancel any time through your Apple ID account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds: Refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policy. Talka Technologies does not process refunds directly.
• Price changes: We reserve the right to change subscription prices. You will be notified of price changes in advance and have the opportunity to cancel before new prices take effect.

Ohene Pro features

Ohene Pro includes features powered by artificial intelligence. While we strive to make Sankofa's insights accurate and meaningful, we cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or applicability of any AI-generated insight to your specific situation.

AI-generated content in Ohene is for personal reflection purposes only. It does not constitute medical, psychological, financial, or legal advice.

Acceptable use

You agree to use Ohene only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others. You agree not to:

• Attempt to reverse engineer or extract the source code of Ohene
• Use Ohene to develop competing products
• Circumvent subscription or payment systems
• Attempt to access other users' data
• Use Ohene in any way that could damage, disable, or impair our services

Availability and changes

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue Ohene or any part of it at any time, with or without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any such modification, suspension, or discontinuation.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes. Continued use of Ohene after changes constitutes acceptance.

Disclaimer of warranties

Ohene is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that Ohene will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Talka Technologies shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Ohene, including but not limited to loss of data or loss of memories stored in the application.

Important: While Ohene stores your memories locally on your device, we strongly recommend using the Export feature regularly to maintain backups. Talka Technologies is not responsible for data loss resulting from device failure, deletion, or other circumstances.

Governing law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Sheridan County, Wyoming.
